Hydrocolloid dressings create a moist, insulating healing environment that protects uninfected wounds while allowing the body's own enzymes to aid in wound healing. These dressings are unique in that they do not need to be changed as frequently as other wound dressings and are simple to apply.
This product is suitable for wet wound healing. It absorbs and controls the exudate of the wound through the foam absorbing layer. Precautions, warnings and suggestive instructions
(1) Sterile, disposable;
(2) If the packing bag is damaged, it is forbidden to use;
(3) Choose a hydrocolloid dressing about 2cm wider than the edge of the wound to ensure its full adhesion with the skin;
(4) If the depth of the wound is greater than 5mm, the cavity can be filled with appropriate materials before using hydrocolloid dressing;
(5) Not suitable for wounds with massive exudation;
(6) After absorption and expansion, the hydrocolloid dressing will turn white, which can prompt to replace the hydrocolloid dressing;
(7) When using hydrocolloid dressing, the wound may expand instead, which is the debridement effect of application and is a normal phenomenon;
(8) The hydrocolloid in the hydrocolloid dressing and exudate fuse to form a gel, which sometimes looks like purulent secretion. It is not a wound infection. It can be cleaned with normal saline;
(9) When using hydrocolloid dressing, it sometimes produces a certain smell, which can disappear after cleaning with normal saline;
(10) If there is leakage around the adhesive, please replace the dressing in time;
(11) If the wound is caused by insufficient arterial blood supply or diabetes ulcer, the conditions for using this series of products are as follows: a doctor or nurse gives instructions and checks the wound every day;
(12) When using this product in refractory wounds, it is necessary to make a scientific analysis on the types and causes of refractory wounds and formulate corresponding treatment plans. The use of this product alone cannot be used as a treatment scheme for refractory wounds;
(13) Please remove the product before radiotherapy (including X-ray, ultrasonic, hyperthermia and microwave therapy);
(14) After using the dressing in a small proportion, it will cause skin sensitivity (redness and inflammation), infiltration (pale skin) or excessive proliferation of new tissues. If this happens, please seek the assistance of professional medical personnel;
(15) The single exposure time of this product is not more than 3 days, and the cumulative use time is not more than 14 days. The sub chronic toxicity and genetic toxicity of the product are not evaluated when the exposure time is more than 30 days.
Using Tips
1. After cleaning and disinfecting the surgical site, take out the alginate wound dressing from the packaging bag;
2. Remove the release paper from one side of the slit to expose the adhesive surface;
3. Apply the hydrocolloid core to the wound and smooth it from the middle to all around to make it closely combined with the skin;
4. Remove the backing paper;
5.When removing the dressing, first uncover the corners of the dressing and then gently remove it from the wound.
Contraindications
(1) Those who are allergic to sodium carboxymethyl cellulose should use it with caution;
(2) Not recommended for dry wounds;
(3) Use with caution for allergic constitution. In case of allergic reaction, please stop using immediately and consult a doctor.
